After years of collecting various holsters from a myriad of makers, I finally got tired of compromises, poor quality matrerials, less than quality craftsmanship and holsters so expensive, I had to decide whether to take a Caribbean vacation or buy the holster; I finally decided to make my own. My first holsters follow:
You'll have to forgive the non-professional pictures. Best I can do right now. Working on better ones.
Here are a couple of thumb break holsters and an IWB concealment holster that I crafted from leather and Kydex. A hybrid.
A melding of modern technology and ancient craftsmanship. A Leather/Kydex hybrid holster for "open carry". This one is my first thumb break holster. I gave it a little style with a lot of utility. I guess I would call it a belt slide, thumb break, kydex/Leather hybrid.
This particular holster carries my .45ACP 1911.
This is the same style holster for a Hi-Point C9 9mm
This is an Inside the Waist Band (IWB) holster is for concealed carry and is very comfortable. Excellent concealment. Tucks close to the body.
This one has a fairly extreme forward cant for a very concealed carry and quick and easy draw.
The beauty of these holsters is that they conform to your body and that actually helps the holster work better. Great retention yet an easy draw from open carry or concealed. Comfortable wear all day long. You'll forget you are wearing a sidearm until you need it.
These holsters are simple, straight foreword, utilitarian and highly functional with a little style.
