Do we really want the National Guard under the DOD direct control? The DOD's attempt to seize, hijack, take control of, take over, usurp, out and out grab the power away from the states is being pushed under the guise of taking better care of the population in the event of a national disaster or terrorist attack.
Just what I was hoping for. Put the local National Guard under the command of a commander who is not on location nor familiar with local needs or even the local terrain or community makeup.
After all, isn't the goal more centralization? fewer still state rights and power?
"The Hill noted that while the Pentagon’s proposal would provide additional Department of Defense personnel in the event of such an emergency, the governors say that current law already allows their (National Guard) deployment making the additional domestic powers unnecessary."
So the DOD's attempt to wrest control from the states must have an ulterior motive since they really already have the power. Hmmmmm.

"People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think. Don't run. Don't walk. We're in their homes, and in their heads, and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome." River Tam referring to the government.
Not Politically Correct. . .
"Be not intimidated...
nor suffer yourselves to be wheedled out of your liberties by any pretense of politeness, delicacy, or decency.
These, as they are often used, are but three different names for hypocrisy, chicanery and cowardice."

Abraham Lincoln
To quote Jack Donovan’s Violence is Golden: ‘Without action, words are just words. Without violence, laws are just words. Violence isn’t the only answer, but it is the final answer.’
In a world gone mad we are the villains. We wield the truth and the light. In the end we will only be answerable to ourselves and our God. If we win then we inherit the earth, if we lose we get to Heaven.
