The Left is drooling

The left is drooling, maybe frothing at the mouth to initiate new gun control laws. Assault weapon bans and the like. Some out there claim they are not single issue voters and they have that right but. . .

I have always kind of chuckled at the "I'm not a single issue voter" Comment. I think it boils down to a single issue of personal philosophy. The Democrat way is about power, domination over the people and the Republican view is to let the people take care of them selves.

Yes, I know all that control is for their own good. You Democrat voters really know what's best for us all. There is the crux of the whole thing. Republicans know what's best for themselves and Dems know what's best for everyone else.

I understand the platform concept. The political stands that are taken based on, say, abortion or taxes. Reality is a bit more harsh though. Vote for abortion and hey, the guy said lower taxes right? But he wants your guns.

Well, if he gets your guns, he gets his way. Period. Really, it isn't even about a person but rather an ideology getting it's way. A single ideology of more control, which only leads to ultimate control. If the opposite political belief is supported, less control which leads to less government and less stress in ones life.

I have to admit that the Republican Party has done a p*ss poor job in the last several years. They have lost their way though compromise and "bi-partisanship". Bi-partisanship only serves to dilute the conservative standard. We are the only compass they need and "We the People" should be making that abundantly clear to them.

We the people need to rise up and in one unified voice, say; ENOUGH! Hit the reset button. Back to the basics. Read a good book on Conservatism.
