Re: U.S. Gov't has reached critical mass
These conversations have become pointless.
We (our elected, designated, majority ruled, representatives have finally figured out that there are no locks on the vault. Our pockets are open to them and so we give away our hard earned dollars to shore up bad businesses, line the pockets of fraudsters (25 million retirement bonus?) and all this with the blessings of our populace, for the most part.
GOD!!! We can't let them go down. Think of all the people it would hurt. I say those people needed to find other work.
Think of the economy, I say it is time for more change than Obama is willing or able to provide.
I hear whining and complaining, like sniveling little brats but no one is willing to do what is necessary to bring about the real change this world needs.
People are so busy trying to figure out how to buy, buy and buy. Consume it all. Don't upset the apple cart. 5% of the world's population has 95% of the money.
The rest of us, unless I miss my guess, every member of this forum, are so inured in the system, so caught up in the consumption of goods, and struggling for every scrap thrown to them like rats in a sewer that they are unable to or simply unaware that there is a travesty being perpetrated on them and they are like lobsters in a pot of cold water on top of the stove.
Like children on Saturday morning watching cartoons and the raft of commercials for this or that toy, we are told what we want and according to our means, a Lexus or a Chevy, etc.
Occupied with one upping the Jones, even if they are virtual Jones.
I here mumbles here and there. Once in a while a "loudmouth" will speak his mind, So fringe they are soon drowned out by the clamoring hoards brawling over some perceived minor wrong.
Their focus on small, insignificant troubles while the heat is turned up on the pot.
This changes when we change. Government will not change unless we change it.
Edit: Stop electing Lawyers. Stop electing the wealthy. For Christ's sake, to even have considered John Kerry for any kind of leader just baffles the shlt out of me. I know that was last time. I won't even get started on this time.
