This guy really does have a lock on what the liberal nut job community believes.
In speaking with a neighbor the other day, guns came up in the conversation. A flock of geese came over head on their way North and I made some comment about goose hunting.
I was soon after treated with a diatribe on the evils of hunting and gun ownership. In particular, private ownership of any guns at all period. This person went on to tell me how great a world we would have if all the guns were gone and only police and soldiers carried them.

To most if not all of them (gun haters) , "The Gun" is the evil. It dwells in the cold steel and heartless plastic and wood of "The Gun". Not in the hearts and minds of crazy f-ers. Evil men and women are of no consequence to this lady and therefore don't somehow impact her life.
I did ask her what she would do if a bad man were to enter her home at night and begin to cause all manner of mayhem and she had no answer for me. That just wouldn't happen to her. She also did not have a reasonable answer for how to stop the bad guys from getting weapons either.
Citing the Bobbies in England as a good example of why we didn't need guns if they could do their job without.
I paused; saw the flaring nostrils and fiery look in her eyes, thought better of my next few comments and thanked her for her kind opinion. I could see this was going nowhere fast but politely told her that the bobbies now carried guns, because the bad guys had them too, even though England had some of the toughest gun laws in the world.
She said that just proved her point. If there were no guns, the Bobbies wouldn't need them either. I said. . . Well, case closed then. Boy what a great day, how about that sunshine.
