Calling what this guy did is like calling a mob hit an administrative adjustment. This guy is quite possibly guilty of supporting payola, payoffs, under the table deals, blackmail, strong-arming, ah. . . well. . . you get the picture and it ain't a pretty one.

What Reid really means to say is that there is plenty of the American people’s money to go around for the exclusive club that he and 99 other Senators make up. Or maybe he meant to say that it really isn’t so bad to prostitute yourself out the way Senators Landrieu and Nelson did. As long as pimp Harry gets what he wants.
Rhode Island Democratic Senator Sheldon Whitehouse today called opponents of the Obamacare bill lunatic extremists during a floor speech, failing to account for the fact that in every leading opinion poll almost two thirds of Americans fall into that category.

Whitehouse cited an editorial by The relatively unknown Manchester Journal Inquirer in which the editor described the Republican party as being “dominated by the lunatic fringe”, adding that it “has poisoned itself with hate.”
Clearly, both the Senator and the bastions of journalistic integrity at the Manchester Journal Inquirer have not bothered to look at the latest opinion polls on the healthcare bill.
Almost two thirds of Americans oppose the bill in a poll from CNN eleven days ago, while 51% oppose in a recent Washington Post/ABC News poll.
An NBC/Wall St Journal poll found that just 32% believe the healthcare overhaul is a good idea, while only 36% pledged support in an AP-GFK poll.
During a floor speech, he excoriated Senate GOP members for holding up the pending health care bill and accused their supporters of being birthers and fanatics in right-wing militia and Aryan support groups. He started off by citing an editorial from the Manchester Journal Inquirer, which used the insult "lunatic fringe.":
I approached (AUDIO) Senator Whitehouse following his speech on the floor, and his responses to my questions were puzzling, to say the say the least. Mr. Whitehouse said he stood by his speech, but would not admit that he was accusing anyone who was against the health care bill as racist. He did reiterate that birthers are part of the group that is against the bill and are attacking president However, when I asked the Senator from Rhode Island what he meant by describing those who do not support the bill as "aryan," he responded "No, I didn't say that....again, pay attention to the speech."
According to the transcript above, Mr. Whitehouse did say what he seems to be denying. Perhaps he should pay more attention to what he says on the floor.

While posting breathtaking profits in the last two quarters – Wells Fargo’s $3.2 billion, Citigroup’s $3 billion and Chase’s $2.7 billion – U.S. banks have figured out a way to squeeze some extra dollars from those who can least afford it, the unemployed.
This scam by the Banksters is a thing of beauty. Really, what better than to screw those who can least defend themselves while posting record profits. I would think banksters have; by now, overtaken lawyers and congressmen as the most hated trash on the planet.
